ANTIQUE 8-STRING BANJO SIGNED JOS. B. ROGERS, JR VEGA STYLE.
Estate sale find. Sold as is as seen. Knowledge is limited on Banjo’s so please ask questions or request more photos before placing bids. I will do my best to describe. This banjo looks similar to the Vega type Banjo’s. I was not able to find any other name on it other than the Jos. B. Rogers Jr. on the underside of the head.
Banjo shows signs of wear throughout. Head is torn / pulling apart on both sides along the rim. Probably needs to be restrung but 6 strings are strung and 2 are missing. There are 2 brackets missing. The headstock, neck and heel do not have any cracks in the wood. Condition is as pictured so please view all photos for an even better description.
Measurements are approximately 23” Long x 10 1/2” Diameter 2 1/2” Deep. Weighs approximately 3lbs.
